Projeto Modela UFPel: visibilidade e acessibilidade para a instituição.

Abstract

The Project Models UFPel began in August 2010 and is being developed by the GEGRADI (Study Group for the Teaching and Learning of Digital Graphics / UFPel). The work on the one hand, departed the purpose of facilitating the understanding of the physical space of the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), since this is not concentrated on a single campus, but rather integrated into the urban fabric of the city of Pelotas. On the other, continues the Design Models Pelotas (Barros et al., 2008; FÉLIX et al., 2005) following the adoption of the architectural heritage of the city as an object reference to the process of teaching / learning digital imaging, established in under the Specialization Course in Digital Graphics / UFPel. In this direction, the Project aims Models UFPel generating a Virtual UFPel from the digital three-dimensional graphical representation of the physical space the University being provided in an Information System Network, via web, giving greater visibility to the institution and as a way of recovery and preservation of the architectural heritage of the city, considering that this institution has expanded its physical area through the acquisition of buildings of historical examples of Pelotas.
