A episteme reflexiva aplicada ao tempo social : observação da interação entre teoria sociológica, tecnologia e mudança no tempo social

Abstract

This Doctoral Thesis seeks to identify, understand and unveil, at least in part, the existing feedback relationships between theoretical-sociological productions, technology and the implications of this in the “behavior” of social time. On the other hand, it also seeks to know how effective social transformations, those that affect the “world of life”, alter and are reflected in the very production of sociological theory in a previously defined time lapse. To this end, a method named "The Reflective Episteme Applied to Social Time" was outlined, proposed and applied, whose methodical logic evidences a metassociological practice, aiming to contribute to the investigation of social time in the theoretical history of Sociology and, above all, to the reflection on specific theoretical logics that composed it. In other words, such a meta-sociological practice, composed in a sui generis way by the epistemological bases of Jacques Derrida (deconstruction), Michel Foucault (epistémê/archaeology), Heinz von Foertser and even Niklas Luhmann (second order observation), aims to reveal what was hardly perceived in the theoretical scope of Sociology, by (re)visiting, (re)interpreting and (re)explaining paradigmatic sociological theories, emphasizing the socio-temporal dimension of social reality. Thus, according to the investigative capabilities demonstrated by the proposed method, we can see that (i) the mutual relationship between technology, change in social time and sociological theory denoted, in fact, a growing increase in complexity in social reality, especially in that which, strictly speaking, it was followed by sociological theory from its birth to the present day, composing and being composed, in the light of a systemic perspective, by gradually more synergistic social processes. Likewise, (ii) the distinction schemes set in motion by social theorists also certify that these same distinction schemes were delineated within the trinomial of technology, change in social time and sociological theory. Finally, it was also possible to glimpse (iii) the centrality of social time in the theoretical development of Sociology, insofar as social time proved to be a structuring and operative component of the theoretical models collated in this Doctoral Thesis. It is, finally, an investigative proposal aimed at contributing, above all, to a Sociology of Time and a Metassociology.
