Abstract

His dissertation sought to understand, through repertoires of collective action, the sociopolitical participation of Guinean youth, the elements that Juventude Africana Amílcar Cabral (JAAC) and the Rede Nacional das Associações Juvenis (RENAJ) of Guinea-Bissau have of disagreements, approximations and the way they have used their ideologies and repertoires to transform the country. To this end, the dissertation discussed the socio-historical perspectives of youth participation in the process of building African States and Guinea-Bissau, as strategies that help to understand the current scenario in which Guinean youth are inserted. In this sense, the dissertation mobilized the theory of the youth category and collective action repertoires. With this, it is clear that youth presupposes a social category that encompasses the idea of age group and social perspectives, and is guided by sociocultural, political, economic, racial and geographic reality. Therefore, there is no such thing as youth, but rather youths. Collective action repertoires constitute the forms of collective action of social organizations, which vary depending on the case and the social, political, economic and environmental reality of societies. Finally, the bibliographic, qualitative, exploratory approach, semi-structured interview and comparative data analysis constitute the methodological basis of this dissertation.
