O “sujeito” da interpretação em Nietzsche e Foucault: uma leitura da genealogia da moral e da ética do cuidado de si.

Abstract

This dissertation aims to investigate the criticism to the subject and the interpretation consummated in the philosophy of Nietzsche and Foucault. In order to accomplish this task, it was necessary to understand the specificities of Genealogy, imperative methodology to evaluate the value of the values in Nietzsche and to comprehend the idea of “ethics of the present” in Foucault. Thus, it was derived a principle from which, it becomes possible to deduce an “extemporary” approximation between the two philosophers. In its second move, the dissertation text approaches the possibility of a new model of subject and interpretations whose fundamentals no longer belong to metaphysics. However, the references of this subject are the concepts of the will to power, the self care and the self techniques, principles of what was called “the new ethics”. This research was built, mainly, from the thematic readings of Beyond Good and Evil and Genealogy of Morals of Nietzsche and The Hermeneutics of the Subject, The Gouvernment of Self and OthersThe History of Sexuality: The Will to Knowledge, The Use of Pleasure and The Care of the Self – works of Michel Foucault. The contents of this extensive reading contributed significantly with the “extemporary approximation” hypothesis between Foucault and Nietzsche and the result is the “new subject” to whom lays the ethic imperative of the self care.
