Nos bastidores da bola: memórias de funcionários infames do futebol profissional da região sul do Rio Grande do Sul.

Abstract

The present study analyzed the memories of non famous subjects that act or acted as employees from professional football clubs in the Southern region of Rio Grande do Sul. Having as methodology the oral history, were interviewed five subjects related to distinct clubs: Sport Club Rio Grande, Sport Club São Paulo, Esporte Clube Pelotas, Grêmio Esportivo Bagé e Guarany Futebol Clube. From the narratives, were analyzed the journeys, the constitution of the clubistic belongings, the production of the non famous subjects` identities, their actions along the clubs, the sociabilities producted in the football field, and also the most significative moments listed by the narrator under an emotional point of view. It was possible to understand that the clubistic belonging of them was constituted in different ways, such as: going to the stadiums during childhood, building notions of sociability in the club, the need of a paid activity and the influence, even though indirect, of the family. Moreover, it was perceived the importance of the clubs in the constitution of the identities of the subjects, since the narrators, when building a hierarchy, put the clubs behind only their families. It was also possible to analyze that the non famous employees make use of different ways of cheering during the game, in which the chosen place and certain attitudes are interesting markers of analysis. When it concerns to the actions of the non famous subjects in the clubs, it was possible to notice the great importance that these workers have for the associations, since that, commonly, by their own initiative, in addition to the activities designated by their job positions, they perform secondary functions as well. It was noticeable, therefore, that such workers have great economic relevance to clubs, as having a good treatment with supporters and associates at the reception of the stadiums can help to increase the revenue of the institution, moreover, the care of the sporting equipments used by the athletes can avoid additional expenses during the season. Besides that, it was possible to notice that football is a rich space in terms of sociabilities among the non famous employees, supporters, and also local, national and international renowned athletes. Finally, the narrators listed the most significant moments from an emotional point of view, emerging from their speeches events connected directly to the soccer field, such as: victories in classical local matches, ratings for higher divisions of football competitions, besides, heritage achievements. The socialization processes practiced in football were also remembered, as well as, one of the interviewees shows that his main satisfaction with the club is the certainty of having exercised exemplary his function over the years.
