Segurança e satisfação dos usuários de habitação de interesse social: um estudo de caso para o PAR em Pelotas, RS.

Abstract

Proposal:The topic of security at social interest housing units challenges the architectureand urbanism research to deepen the study on environment-behavior relationship in the following aspect: the contribution that physical-spatial solutions may contribute to reduce and prevent the incidence of crimes and offenses in these housing units. In Pelotas, the condominiums built by the Programa de ArrendamentoResidencial(PAR) (Residential Leasing Program) have been studied on this perspective, aiming at evaluating the project solutions and the addition of security apparatus. Research method / Approaches:The case studies are the Residencial Porto, Residencial Solar das Palmeirasand ResidencialQuerência and Charqueadas, built by the PAR between 2004 and 2008, presenting three distinct typologies: two-floor houses, 4 floors and 5 floors. Through data which used AvaliaçãoPós-Ocupação(APO) (Post Occupancy Evaluation) methods and Techniques, information is gathered reffering to the satisfaction concerning security by the residents and with the security solutions which have been adopted. Seven physical-spatial and management variables were identified, under a perspective in which the case studies will be analysed. Results:The main variables which may influence the resident satisfaction concerning his/her condominium. Contributions/Originality: We expect to point out the level of satisfaction concerning security noticed by the residents and security apparatus solutions adopted after the housing units were finished.
