A escolinha da FaE-UFPel: alternativa de educação para o homem da periferia (décadas 1970-1990)

Abstract

This dissertation was developed along with the Master's Course, line of Philosophy and History of Education - FaE-UFPel. The main objective of the research was to identify the matrixes that generate the pedagogical practice of the work carried out in the "School of FaE-UFPel" in the period between the 1970s and 1990s, by a group of professors from the College of Education of that same institution, showing the nature of its origin, and the ideological aspects of the political and pedagogical scenario of the time, demonstrating the role of FaE-UFPel in the search for democratic action, beginning its work in the training of the pedagogue. The theoretical basis took into account some speeches on popular education, contextualizing the movements of the FaE-UFPel college, in carrying out a practice aimed at the popular classes, based on a humanist perspective, where Paulo Freire's conceptions were strongly expanded, having in view of a liberating Pedagogical praxis. In addition, the sources used for the research were interviews and the documents found in the collection of the Documentation Center of CEDOC-CEIHE. The analysis took a theoretical approach from the perspective of Social and Cultural History and is methodologically based on documentary analysis and oral history.
