Modos de ler o impresso: múltiplas escritas de leitores de Erico Verissimo capturadas na internet.

Abstract

Readers of the writer Erico Verissimo, at the beginning of the 21st century, constitute a "network" of interaction and communication through virtual publications (blogs, websites, communities, and group discussions) about their readings‟ experiences. Based on this finding, the focus of this research are the practices of reading printed books of "networks", revealed specific from the primary source: the writings of texts in electronic media of seven readers of Erico Verissimo. In this sense, the central objective is to identify ways to read the printed book through electronic texts selected writings on the internet. While authors such as Vincent Jouve (2008), based on the thought of Roland Barthes, Marcel Proust and Umberto Eco, analyse the processes of reading how multifaceted activities from dimensions involving neurophysiological processes, cognitive, affective, argumentative and symbolic. On the other, Roger Chartier (1990; 1991; 1994; 1996a; 1996b; 1999; 2002a; 2002b; 2004; 2009a, 2009b) highlights the notion of "modes of reading" tied to the production of plural sense and cultural perspective on mobile, by analyzing the collective or individual close or public, and, yet, as happens reading practices, with their different protocols and rules. Based primarily on these studies, this thesis seeks to defend the interaction between the following dimensions involving readers of Erico Verissimo: a) the intellectual-subjective dimension, from their respective criticisms and interpretations of the works, in a level of subjectivity; b) and the social dimension, revealed in the interaction in social networks on the internet, in a perspective of cooperation and collaboration. This thesis falls in the theoretical field of the humanities and has an interdisciplinary perspective to articulate the following areas of interest: Education; History of reading and the book; Reading and readers; Cyberculture. The theoretical-methodological principles adopted are the history of books and reading, with emphasis on analysis of Michel de Certeau (1994) on relations between the "operations" implied in the Act of reading and cultural aspects in it interwoven. It is also discussed in the context of the reader and the author, based on Umberto Eco (1962), especially in "open work". Allied to this benchmark, were also used the concepts "network", "cyberculture", "interactivity" and "technologies" by Pierre Lévy (2000; 2007). Scholars writing and reading practices in networks, as Jay Bolter (2001) and George Landow (2006), also aided the construction of the thesis. The results of this survey indicate a community to Erico Verissimo readers that silent reading practices and has individual, made in private and public spaces. They are not readers of the works of the writer on the screen, but the printed book. Readers analyzed held "intensive and extensive reading practices" (Chartier, 2002a), share these readings on the internet, create their own texts and constitute a network of interactivity.
