Lógica y moral en Carlos Vaz Ferreira: una búsqueda complementaria a partir del pensamiento de Jürgen Habermas

Abstract

This work's central motive is sustained between the revitalization of Carlos Vaz Ferreira's moral thought and the search for an approach to the dialogic ethics of Jürgen Habermas. It is divided into three main parts: the first seeks a foundation of the emancipatory interest of knowledge and communicative action of J. Habermas; the second moment shows the morality made explicit by Vaz Ferreira and his approach to the philosophy of language from his living logic; and finally, the thesis is developed that although Vazferreirian morality is included in the philosophy of conscience with the commitment of sincerity, the true moral bond in human relationships is established with the care of language in a communicative process that legitimizes the intersubjective understanding. Vaz Ferreira seeks at all times a link between theory and praxis, which turns his ethics into a cognitive and normative morality with universal recommendations but without clinging to dogmatic content of any kind. His principles adhere to the purely procedural, critical-reflective plan of his living logic.
