Da tela à trama: o efeito metafórico e a heteronormatividade na série de televisão “Sessão de terapia”

Abstract

Our aim, in this work, is to understand the effects of meaning produced in the discourse of the subject-patient character, Felipe, the television series “Sessão de Terapia”, from the clues in the discursive materiality of statements presents in the seven episodes of the third series which unravel the thread that (dis)connects the heteronormative discourse metaphorical effects. The theoretical presuppositions are based on the Discourse Analysis (AD) from Pêcheux‟s affiliation. We consider that the discourse is word in movement (ORLANDI, 2012a), and the subject, crossed by the historical-ideological process and by the unconscious mind, means in some conditions. By the regulation of the subject‟s ways of speaking, inserted in the therapeutic discursive practices, we observe knowledge that reveals (or not) the normativity and the adjustment of established gender patterns in society. Our study aims the description and the interpretation of the functioning way of the subject-patient character discourse, from the observation of metaphorical effects of discursive sequences, considering the gender issue. The worry is to work with the (in)visibilities of the character discourse, whose gender identity corresponds to that of a portion socially muttered of the population. The analyzes show that the metaphorical effects in play represent subjectively the sexual identity of the subject-patient and present themselves as symptoms in their speech. These symptoms originate from the crossing of the heteronormative ideology in the subjective identitary constitution of the subject with the consequent social censorship, causing the “truth” of the unconscious and the repressed desire to emerge. The observed metaphorical effects, understood in the Pêcheux‟s discursive perspective, produce indications of the counteridentification of the subject with the heterosexual FD and the identification with the homosexual FD. From the metaphorical effects, new discursive processes are produced and consequently new effects of sense relative to the rupture of stabilized knowledge of the heteronormative and capitalist ideology, subjectively constituting the homosexual identity of the subject-patient.
